Short answer: Qi Men Dun Jia (奇门遁甲) is a classical Chinese system that maps time and direction onto a nine-palace chart. People use it to think through the timing, direction and strategy of a specific decision. It is most useful when you have a concrete question, e.g. when to launch, which option to take, or how to approach a negotiation.
How the chart works, in simple terms
Each two-hour period has its own chart. The chart places gates (门), stars (星) and spirits (神) in nine palaces, and each palace links to a direction. A reading looks at the palace connected to your question and explains its supportive and adverse signs.
What it can and cannot do
It gives a structured way to weigh a decision. It is a symbolic reference, not a certain prediction, and it never replaces professional medical, legal or financial advice.
